In 2005 Carl Todd became the first osteopath to be appointed by the Football Association and work with the England Football team. He has attended four FIFA World Cup tournaments, Germany 2006, South Africa 2010, Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018, and will be attending his 5th World Cup this year when he travels to Qatar. In this time he has amassed over an amazing 200 England games as part of the England National Football Team.
As he reached this milestone, Andrew Shafik over at Football Medicine and Performance Association (FMPA), took the opportunity to speak with Carl on his Podcast.
Andrew Shafik: “Tell us about your journey, why did you decided to become an Osteopath”
Carl Todd: “Having been an engineer, I found that the rehabilitation and movement, the function, was something I could sort of get my head round a little bit and found it really interesting. And that is where it started”.
This is just a small snippet of the amazing story that Carl tells on the Podcast. If you would like to listen to it in full you can by going to Soundcloud or via Spotify.
